For those that don’t understand, it’s a law of attraction principle.

If you truly want something or a person, you’re signaling to the universe that you don’t have it which will push it away from you.

The inverse is that if you don’t stress having it aka abundance, you receive that and more due to the fact you know you can find another woman. A lot of this sub would benefit from learning this ironically.

You are referring to a psychological concept of perceived scarcity where people tend to want what they can't have. It can have an effect in some situations but if a low value man ignores a super model, obviously it's not going to make the super model want him. That's because first and foremost women desire a high value man. High value men have a lot of options so they tend to be less outcome dependent with any single woman which is probably what leads to your perception. When they do choose a woman, they have all the same sexual attraction and desire as any other man and a woman WANTS to feel that from a man she considers high value.

To translate this thread OP made, I believe what they're saying is:

You won't make emotional missteps/misplays if you don't actually like the person you're talking with or doing things with. While this is a viable short term strategy, in essence, you just end up with a living fleshlight and close yourself off to any other positive emotional benefits you'd get to actually liking the girl and being able to have the self-control to resist falling into unattractive "one-i-tis" behaviors.

So, really, you can actually want the person you're with, while identifying behaviors in yourself that sabotage your shared attraction with that person. Just learn to not do such behaviors and, problem solved. Going the extreme route of "just treat them as a human fleshlight" just gives you both some kind of really warped connection with one another and you even block yourself from experiencing some nice emotional states with that person due to how you're compartmentalizing the situation.

TLDR - OP's solution works somewhat, but with it, causes its own string of problems, it eliminates your emotional vulnerability but at the same time limits your potential for emotional and beyond, connection.
