I read the other day when someone found out that women don’t put men in a friend zone, they did it to themselves.

Just think about it from her perspective: you’re always there for her, you always have time to listen to her stories, you always help her. Why does she need you to be her boyfriend when you being her friend already more than enough for her? Why would she want you to be her boyfriend when you already gave her everything she could ask for from a guy?

This sounds counterintuitive: but doing all that stuff won’t make her like you romantically and sexually. This is why romantic movies are toxic. Like men are heroes without a cape, they always come when the girl they love always needs some help. The messiah complex. The hero who saves me from the dragon! This absurd idea that doing all that would get them a gf. Not only this idea is far from reality, it also misleads and destroys guys.

I’m not saying you should be abusive and cruel toward her. There’s always a happy medium that could be a win-win. You can always be nice to her, but set your boundaries:

Put yourself as your first priority, be much less available for her, focus on your studies or career or making money, have more options than just 1 particular girl to see the possibility that you may have with other people in the future. Hey, you never know there are better girls or women out there if you get too fixated on 1 person.

All this would change her perspective on you; you’re no longer a nice boy she’s been knowing since she was a kid, but you’re a man that the world has mold into a grownup who’s liked and loved by lots of people including attractive women. But obviously if you wanna do all this, do it for yourself, don’t do it to impress her. I guarantee you: 90% chance she will love the new you, or even want you sexually. But when that happens, there’s also an equal chance that you may have lost interest in her.

Tldr: don’t put her on a pedestal.

severe case of one ithis lol, jfc, there are 350 million ppl in the US alone lol, you need to learn so get rid of those limiting believes, tell her how you feel, dont vomit your feelings on her but be more subtle, tell her you'd like to take things further, if she doesn't feel the same, back off, and date other women, by the time you've been with more women you will see the difference, 15 years with this person in the back of your head is a crazy amount of time lol

Maybe use the word "seduce" instead of "manipulate" so you don't seem like an asshole. Manipulation is getting people to do something that they don't want to do. Whereas seduce is getting people to do what they inherently want to do, but aren't doing for whatever reason.

At this point seduction is too late. She knows you for wayyy too long. So the only thing you can do is ask her on a date. Unfortunately you're 7 hours away, which makes this very inconvenient if she were to agree to a date. But you want this so 🤷🏼‍♂️

The chance that she likes you after all this time is very small. Men tend to develop crushes on their female friends, but this is almost never reciprocated

Lol manipulate? Never a good idea to manipulate anyone, if you want something more than just a friend, it's not bad to have female friends, sometimes they can introduce you to other girls, plus you help her out with her problems, career and school mentor and someone she enjoys spending time with. Anyways you can try kino (touching the right way) that's my best advice, anyways it might be a good idea to focus on other girls, because this one sounds unlikely if you have limited sexual contact with her in 15+ years of knowing her
