I’ve got almost everything down good except this part. I can vibe well over text fairly well, can get the number off an app or what have you, and set up a date with ease. Things generally fall apart after that, though.
I’ll show up on these dates and while we’ll often have a good time, there’s a very platonic vibe to it. I don’t think I’m engaging emotions in the way you need to to be successful - like, I’m engaging the good emotions she would feel with a friend, which is obviously NOT what I’m trying to be.
The last woman I went out with straight up told me “I had a good time, but I’m not feeling those romantic feelings with you”, so it’s pretty clear what the problem is.
It feels like every time I have fucked on a first or second date it’s either because I’m good looking and she was already sold without me doing anything, but the idea of being powerless to instill such emotions is killing me.
Any help here as to how to engage emotions productively is appreciated.
