I've been on tinder, hinge, and FB dating for a little over a month now. I have an abundance of matches, and messaging multiple different women. You'd think this is a good thing but it's honestly exhausting. The fact that if you don't craft every sentence to be like the Hallmark Man they have in their head, they just go ghost is exhausting.

I've had a few dates and a hookup within the month I've been on, but I can't find the word to describe the feeling of messaging so many women and having so many go ghost.

Facebook is the realest I've found, where people actually would want to meet up. I can get about 4 matches a day on Tinder, about 2 on Hinge, and like 10 on Facebook a day. Out of all of these, women will respond and reciprocate until you say something (doesnt even have to be bad or "wrong") that doesn't fit their ideal mold, literally just 2-3 words that don't flow like casanova and their on to the next one.

I get it because I've been that way with women online as well. I wouldn't say I'm picky for wanting a short & thin woman, short is easy, thin on the other hand is like the top 5% of women nowadays. And then you can never be sure if they are making money off their attractiveness either.

This whole thing is a cesspool. I've decided I'm going to exhaust my 75-100 matches combined on all the sites, and then take a break. Yeah, "practice" is good, I just want something real. I get its stupid to complain in the sense that I know I'm attractive with how easily/often I match and get complimented, but it honestly feels like shit to know then that it either means my personality is shit (we could talk and have fun for hours but my personality isnt "sexy") or that the whole online dating and just social media in general has made dynamics shit.

Basically, I know its only been a month for me and I've gotten a few good moments out of it, but its exhausting and I need a break and would prefer IRL but live in the boonies. Just wanted to vent and hear your guys thoughts as well. I guess its kinda stupid to look for an actual LTR online, I should treat it more casually
