I need some advice here. I am an American and Growing up and listening to most dating coaches today, the common advice I keep hearing is that marriage is a death sentence for men. I've heard many of the arguments about alimony, child support, the courts not favoring the men, etc.

For child support, I am well aware of how that works, and no need to inform me on that, because I know weather your married or not, child support comes an issue.

What I am confused about is what are the detrimental reasons for getting married in the USA? Does this only apply to men who make alot of money or more money then their wife?

So for example, if I only work at mc Donald's and make minimum wage, and my future wife makes over 6 figures, then there is nothing to lose on my part? It's more to lose from the women? am I right?

So if I don't make much money, should marriage be the goal? vs if I made alot of money then marriage should not be the goal?

Also curious about marrying foreign brides. I am thinking of doing that too, but heard that meeting a foreign bride has risks too that I might be unaware of. I was thinking of going to the philipines and tkaing a girl back to the USA and making her my wife, but not sure if there are risks there.

I don't want to get married if it is a death sentence for men, but I also don't want to be paranoid about false information.
