In my early 20s, male. I think dating is being destroyed by social media and negative influences. This is from the male perspective I understand women have issues with men as well.

A specific issue I'm seeing is young women being far too promiscuous, which is often encouraged by their friends. I think the body count discussion has become so popular because guys are becoming very startled by the sheer numbers that some women are putting up.

To address male promiscuity, yes I believe that's also an issue. Men not being able to control their lust has always been their downfall. I put alot of the blame on porn for destroying their minds and programming from a young age. I mentioned women because I believe they still decide at the end of the day if sex is on the table (consensually speaking). Men can seek sex but will often come up short, as we all know. Women can selectively pick from a vast group of suitors.

As for social media, you ever see these videos of guys asking late teens/early 20s girls all these strange questions?

"Whens the last time you cheated on your boyfriend?"

"Craziest college confession?" Etc.

The answers are always insane, full of cheating confessions, orgy stories, and low iq behavior. The comments are typically "That's why I don't want a daughter". And other "misogynistic" rhetoric. All these women seem so happy to answer these disturbing questions. It's like they become their true self when the camera is on? It's a complete turnoff and actually revolting ngl.

Now I understand most of this can just be considered rage bait content, and you can say it's fake. However, the truth is most of these are actual experiences and I'm sure many people my age can attest to that. The exact volume at which it is happening I'm not sure.

I just believe all this is extremely damaging and makes it difficult for men and women to bond and create meaningful relationships.

So the questions: Is this an actual trend among young women? Why are they participating in these activities and ruining the dating market? How exactly does this affect dating long term for both men and women?
