Exact same experience. I was happy to distance myself from her, but she went all out to cut me out of my children's lives and that nearly broke me. Stay strong. It took 15 years of not even seeing my kids or hearing them on the phone. No contact all that time, but my daughter plucked up the courage to question her mom's side of things, reached out, and we have been back in contact for 2 years now. She even came to see me, and it has been amazing, as it always was.

I say this all the time. People accuse me of being bitter over my divorce. It’s so hard to explain to them that I could care less about the divorce. It happened. Yep, it took about 2 years to get over that sting. But it’s been many many years now. It doesn’t bother me at all. What I’m bitter about is going from being every day loving father to an every other weekend dad. Taking the back page to another man pretending to be my kid’s dad. All I wanted was equal time. Just 2 weeks a month. It’s fair and healthy for the children. Anyways, yea I’m bitter that as an innocent person I’m treated with prisoner weekends. But the divorce? I seriously do NOT care. Like at all. I hate those accusations

thank you for making the effort. a piece of me dies everyday for not being able to see my son that i love with all my heart. i surely know what your going through and others too.

For me it took 4 years to get over.

My ex broke up with me while being pregnant of our 2nd child.

I never recognized the kid because she was fucking another dude while being pregnant. Also because she asked 300€ a month per kid which is insane here in Belgium, while barely seeing my kids.

Had to get a lawyer and court and took 3 years before my oldest daughter came over to sleep.

Now I have her 1 weekend every 14 days and the week i dont have her the whole weekend i have her wednesday, Thursday, friday

Dude, i hear you. I am going something similar but opposite.

First of all, please reflect on your actions and behaviours. Adopt humility. Then, listen to your children's words and ask to speak with them with a psychilogist present that is versed in family therapies.
