Lol. The fuck is she talking about? People had an issue and many still do. We had to make accommodations in the hobby and open it up to women and they STILL judge guys interested in it.

People shit on astrology because it's nonsensical stuff they take way too seriously and they let it control their lives not because women are the main fan group of it.

I happen to know a woman who is really into it, been for awhile, and I’ve seen her and others into it get it really wrong a lot.

It’s not even accurate, and getting one person’s personality right after you went up to 20 other people thinking they had the same personality doesn’t make it accurate.

They don’t pay attention to who’s personality doesn’t match what their zodiac sign says, only the ones who match what their zodiac says, which, there’s so many people on earth, of course some people’s personality is going to line up with the set personality these people have picked out for them, but also, confirmation bias goes crazy.

I think most people's issue, with those that beleive in astrology, is not particularly gender based but it's the equivalent of those practising superstition. You just feel that's not managed to move into the 20th century, let alone the 21st century.

I also think people who think: the moon landing was fake; that the British Royal Family are actually lizards and that there Earth is flat are pretty stupid. Actually, I don't think they are stupid I have pity for them as I believe them to be mentally unwell in some way.

Yes, because assuming it’s clearly a “woman’s thing” to participate in superstition, hucksterism, low-bar credulity, and arbitrary, self-contradictory anti-science… is totally respectful to women. In fact, it’s misogyny- hatred even- to suggest there are women who are above such things. No women would find actual science more compelling than horoscopes except the self-hating types!

Is it also misogyny to mock men for indulging in magic thinking at the Santa-eligible stage of social awareness? Apparently so by that logic.

I mean, it’s true that women literally are far more prone to religious tendencies than men, but I certainly don’t want to think the error is some genetic defect. That nitwit instead doubles down to insist that’s it’s not only inherently female but that it’s also a great idea. And that’s why I want to introduce her to a lucrative opportunity to buy beachfront property in the Gobi Desert- recommended by Nigerian princes everywhere. Think of it as a sale that supports women!
