People forget that society is not (and was never) distributed as a Patriarchy where men sat on top of the hierarchical pyramid and women sat below.

If the pyramid analogy were to hold, a few men with high status are at the top of the pyramid, all women are in the middle, and all other men are below women. This explains every society that has ever existed.

My thoughts...even in a so called patriarchy, men still do like 90% of the work anyway.

But also the only way this can stop is men need to do something. Think about it women can complain and moan all they want but nearly all the time it's a man that's enforcing her will or not thinking about how it will affect other men. Or it's other men encouraging her delusion and childish attitude.

At least women seem to have eachothers backs, men (generally speaking) are too eager to throw other men under the bus. Like on the titanic using guns to force men not to save themselves, a very basic human instinct was denied to them. Officer Lighttoller for example took out 25 men and put in 17 women. Then lowered it...it had the capacity for 40 people. But he lowered it before even letting anymore men go when it had a lot of space left.

Men are men's biggest enemies. Specifically gynocentric man.

Way back in 1943, Philip Wylie captured where the west was headed in his book 'Generation of Vipers'. Feminists hated what he said. But, even reading between the lines of the above female review of the book, there's a lot of truth in his observations. Here's a few:

"American women are inculcated with a distorted version of a Cinderella fairy-tale that conditions them to expect material wealth, not because of virtuous activity, but merely because they are female. This has defeated husbands in America, making homes into centres of disillusionment. It long ago became associated with the notion that the bearing of children entitled women to respite from physical and social responsibility."

"Mom is organisation minded. Female organisations, she has happily discovered, are intimidating to all men. They frighten politicians to snivelling servility. Mom has many such organisations, the real purpose of which is to compel an abject compliance of her environs to her personal desires."

"The mealy look of men today is the result of momism - as is the pinched and baffled fury in the eye of womankind."

Robert Briffault (he of Briffault's Law) reckoned in his 1927 book 'The Mothers- On The Origins of Sentiments and Institutions' that human societies were always Matriarchal.

The anima example she brings up... About women being a projection of male desire that isn't very similar to who she wants to be or who she really is.

Men... Men are dealing with this too. The tearless, fearless, endlessly generous and stoic for the sole purpose of attracting and maintaining their sexual partnership with women. But it isn't mentioned or visited. Does the world truly think men want to go die and risk their health, mental and physical well-being solely because they want to and not from projected necessity from society?

Then we have the bit about the matriarchal tribe... If you've seen some of the women speaking very callously about the compromised "security" of the TEA app, they weren't the most attractive, and they had a lot to say about the situation. I'd imagine if men were at the full mercy of these types of women, they'd be exactly as she described. Unhappy slaves working for the stability of society while the women consume TEA... Yes pun intended.

As far as motherly comfort is concerned, it's the approval process. Staying inside because it's safe, being a good boy, staying out of trouble and staying well mannered until adulthood is likely this way because that's probably the ideal way to raise a woman. Out of trouble, no relationships, no sex, little trust, and then when she grows up, she'll find a man and all of those things will be worth something...

As a man, that doesn't really work. The lack of experience as well as a mother and women's expectation for you to just, rip off your attire and become Superman, is something that hits men like a truck. Men don't wake up with enough money to take care of themselves, or with skills necessary to have the acumen most people expect from intelligent men. But... That's what modernity had dealt them. Raise men like women, expect them to still be men.

My thoughts are really uncomfortable ones i.e., once you see how many women actually perceive and treat men as a group, it's just a very uncomfortable truth you will not be able to unsee. There are women out there who are not like this and do seem to express genuine concern with how men are being treated but I have kind of lost hope. As a man I have too many enemies today - feminists, society, politicians, law, male simps. I am just tired of fighting those who I expected will support me where I needed help. At this point I am all up for a men-only society/country where we figure out means to fulfill our needs, we claim our spaces back and remove our 'annoying but useful' (how many women see us) selves from women's lives. If I am that problematic and stress-inducing to them, I don't want to bother them with my presence in their lives.

Good find, is true and valid...we accept the evidence that so-called 'matriarchies' are prone to specific behaviours and patterns...Camille Paglia said similar (and many others)...but of course women are resistant to any phenomena that doesn't portray them in glowing terms...

That was incredibly fascinating. I see the similarities that OP mentions, men being expected to work while it's socially acceptable for woman to just kick back and relax. Men being born into a world where he must be a provider or he's seen as less than or not accepted. Men becoming deeply unhappy and struggling with mental health issues.

I don't get it about whole Patriarchy part. Like I won't believe a second that our society placed Man on top of food chain.

Like look at Medieval times, men do 99% of all labour to survive, from fields to processing, but exactly those men were used against their will to fight in feudal wars, does that sounds like benefits? More like hard manual labour with meat grinder in the end.

Industrial times, men are first to work at factories with poor work conditions, first to die to machine accidents and first to be poisoned, scarred, ruined, exploited for factory ultra profit, then wars and once again men are first to lay their heads in wars.

Current times, current economy screw over 3 generations at that point. Men are first to be replaced, exploited and abandoned when economy tanks. They are first for hiring bs and first for mass layoffs. "Society need no man" every media outlet say, so 50% of world population would be abandoned for good. And there come war, once again, and once again men are taken away without their will to be turned into fine red mist in one of the most brutal wars from all times. Do you feel Patriarchy in the air, I don't.

So where that phantom Patriarchy starts? Tribals and Bronze era had it all the same. Main issue that man soul is priced a lot less now, like an item that is so easy to replace that it costs nearly nothing. And well they are not wrong, it honestly horrifying how replaceable men are, how cruelly disposable men are.
