If you've read Models (TRP reading material), it says that the less invested she feels you are in her, the more apt she is to be attracted to you. I've mentioned things in passing about other girls and had it amplify the sexual tension, but it DID NOT create the tension. The sexual attraction/tension was there to begin with. What I mentioned wasn't to brag. Bragging looks like you're showing off, which sub-communicates that you care about what they think to a large degree. When I've bragged, it was not beneficial.

In the end, it's more about how you say things than what you say. The attitude you sub-communicate is usually way more important than the topic itself. If you feel the need to brag, shut the fuck up. Anything that you're about to say should not be said.
