Divorce is finally over after a 5 year marriage. The last year was a nightmare. She finally signed the settlement offer. She’s moving out. Why do I feel so much guilt? No kids involved. No cheating I filed. The blended family killed our marriage. Totally different parenting styles. I ask myself what would change. Nothing would change it would just keep escalating. Kids never are totally gone. Now I have grand children. She didn’t want the divorce and told her lawyer she didn’t want this right up until she signed. But I think it was financial. It wasn’t about loving me. When all her stuff is gone. I’m sure it will bother me. She manipulated me with a suicide attempt and many other ways. You divorce a different person you married for sure. How do I shake this feeling of guilt?
