All right. I'll give you that many women have a submissive element to their sexuality that can sometimes be unhealthy and/or result in conflicting expectations for their male partners. But I'm not sure if this particular case is very instructive about their nature. Wanting to be murdered is a pretty rare fetish for both men and women. In fact, although they are also a minority, there are far more women that would much rather "dominate a beta male" rather than be "murdered by an alpha male".

Furthermore, while the fetish itself is rare, going through with it is almost unheard of. It sounds like to me that although she seems to have fantasies about being murdered, the only reason she went through with them was that she was otherwise suicidal.

Remember, please, that Mech himself admits that his research was flawed, and based on inaccurate assumptions. An "alpha male" is the human (and male, natch) equivalent of an "alpha version" of a program; still early on in the development process, and far from feature-complete.
