I came across this article today, and found passage curious:

For instance, in their book on rape, Thornhill and Palmer advocate the Talibanization of society, involving stricter penalties, compulsory anti-rape training for men (as a precondition for obtaining a driver’s licence), and possibly the cloistration of nubile women (2000: 198–9).

For those who don't know, Thornhill and Palmer's book defends that rape is a male evolutionary strategy. IIRC, it was used as source by Steven Pinker and David Buss. Despite the book not being available on Kindle and not being convenient to me to adquire a phisical copy, I was able to found the relevant passage in this article:

For evolutionary psychology, and for Thornhill and Palmer in particular, this means that appropriate interventions should occur firstly at a pedagogic-therapeutic level, and should proceed to efficient self-management. They suggest that young men should be made aware of the evolutionary basis of their “natural urge to rape”, and should receive training on techniques of self-control to help manage these urges: Completion of such a course might be required, say, before a young man is granted a driver’s license. Such a program might start by getting the young man to acknowledge the power of their sexual urges and then explaining why human males have evolved to be that way. (Thornhill & Palmer, 2000: 179)

I am honestly appalled by this orwellian proposal, and consider this a good example of why sociobiology and evo-psycho is not intrinsically pro men's rights, as I saw some argue.
