Divorce is absolutely looming, but a big factor holding me back is my kids. Not how they'll handle it, but how will I handle not seeing them everyday? Especially for those random moments that you remember forever. Like teasing my daughter or watching my boys make forts and play, and overhear the dumbest but absolute best conversations about random crap.

Sure I'll see them, thankfully a lot more than a lot of divorced dads, I'll do everything I can to never miss a basketball game or a band concert. I'll make every single one of those moments count and cherish them. But It won't be on a random Tuesday morning, while I get ready for work they're getting ready for school. Running around being the adorable monsters I love. That's where real memories are made. At least for me.

How the hell do I deal with not being there for that?
