That question hits because those roles gave your life shape. When they’re gone, it feels like you disappear with them. You’re not nothing now, you’re a person in between identities, and that’s scary as hell. The answer doesn’t come fast. It gets built slowly, piece by piece, once the shock wears off.

What comes next is that you get to discover who you really are, beyond your titles or roles. That is the great adventure. I know it feels daunting and overwhelming right now, but you will survive and you’ll grow in ways you could never imagine before.

Im right in the middle of this too brother. No sleep lost a ton of weight, shit comes in waves im mid 40s and my whole life feels like its falling apart. But we gotta keep going for them kids. The world doesnt stop for us and nobody cares this is the only refuge i have… is yall to get me by. Im hoping things get better for all of us that are suffering

This is what we all ask ourselves. You're not alone in this. I'm 8 months deep in my divorce and I'm just starting to find out who I am. It's a rough road man. The first couple months were absolutely crippling. But it slowly gets better. You have to find a way to work on yourself. Be it physical activity (this is a must IMO), a new hobby or finding something that can improve yourself, you have to start rebuilding yourself. It will get better. Keep putting one foot in front of the other and keep improving yourself. You got this brother.
