I wouldn’t worry so much about being called a creep. Pickup/cold approach in general may get you labeled as creepy. I hear people calling a guy who approaches any girl creepy. This stuff will get you laid a lot. You never know what someone is thinking until you talk to them and even then until you initiate some sort of physical touch you can’t tell if she’s actually available.

One thing i learned is, if you lock eyes. You got 3 seconds to make a move. Even if it's as dumb as a wave. But do it confidently.

I've locked eyes with women at bars. SOmetimes i fuck up and look away. Other times i wave and tell her to come over, other times i walk up and say small joke. I have found that most of the time if i acknowledge that we locked eyes, she didnt think i was creeping she thought i was cute, or saw something interesting, etc.

You obviously can't really know for sure just from a brief first glance. Generally, you can feel if there may be something more between you by getting an abundance of experience, so you can naturally read subtle body language. There is surely some solid and credible seduction theory, however it's still about practice and improvement.
