From a Machiavellian point of view, constantly saying stuff like this allows women to use safety as an excuse to be horrible to men. As they "had to do it, whatever it is, to walk on egg shells around the big bad men.

This works especially when they try to provoke us. It's set the stage for men to lose and be seen as the problem no matter what cause it primes people to see us that way.

This kind of attitude is crazy because not only is she presenting a false narrative, which also misrepresents all men, and not only is it going against all reality knowing that women generally get away with so much open hatred/insults for men because men will tolerate it all, but because she's also using this false narrative to play the victim. She's effectively putting this man into a position of oppressor, despite the fact that he did nothing wrong and that she's oppressing herself with this delusional and hateful take.
