For organization, you might consider using NotebookLM, and letting the Gemini AI find what you need when you need it.

I have a similar situation, where I needed to be able to quickly reference about 2,500 pages of texts and hundreds of emails for several particular divorce issues. If you (or I) tried to organize all the source data now, it's impossible. However, you can use chat prompts(or studio outputs) to find what you need, when you need it. Then, you can formally prepare/label/organize just what is needed for your attorney.

It's been amazing for me. You'll need a paid subscription (I think $20/month?) if you want to upload more than 30 source files, but IMO, it's hella worth it.

I have a Pixel as well, and I used the app SMS Backup and Restore to convert text messages to PDF. It's okay (and free), but if I were starting again, I might try something else.

Before doing NotebookLM (or any AI) you might ask your attorney about the likelihood of getting a discovery request about it. On balance, mine greenlighted me using it, but it's not without some risk. (Like don't submit a prompt you wouldn't want a judge to see.)

I think about what's important to me and those are the things I focus on.

My ex committed DV on a disabled person who was recovering from unrelated surgery. (It was me). The DV is documented. She went to jail for it. Unfortunately the DA didn't press any charges. But she admitted to it in the police report and body camera.

Language in my states laws say that a victim shouldn't have pay their abuser spousal support. So that's one of my biggest focus on getting the judge to enact that.

Since the DV I have a restraining order and 84% custody of the kids so my other main focus is keeping the kids with me 70%. She would see them on the weekends.

I couldn't give a crap less about the inevitable split of assets. It's going to happen anyway so it's not worth my time to argue about.

The nit picky stuff she files with the court is also a waste of time and honestly irritates the judge so I just let her file and file. I only submit stuff that I have evidence for.

Is there a reason you're downloading texts and emails? Given your situation discovery is primarily for financial stuff, and those are usually limited to three years unless there are reasons/suspicions to go back farther. My ex wanted seven years of financial records. I gave her three. It was enough.

Or are you dealing with interrogatories as well? If so, provide more details.

Don't contact your attorney every time you have a question. Queue up your questions and send them in a single email or call him once every other week. It'll save you hundreds of dollars batching stuff together.
