If it's just a social thing what works for me is being a safety blanket & letting her fall into your frame.

You're the outgoing one right freedom of outcome so what this looks like could be you giving her a peck out in public and if she gets shy reiterate that there's nothing wrong and nobody cares this will slowly show her that it's a safe place. Or things like holding her hand she might feel weird at first but if you sit with it it becomes a nothing burger. Shy women are seduced through therapy-talk.

She's insecure, gives uncomfortable signals and all that. You call it out, say "you seem uncomfortable, is that correct?" and then you basically give them a free therapy session where you help them to feel more confident, secure, self-assured etc. At least to some extent. Obviously big change takes time. But the point is: You begin the healing process of their social anxiety.

To do this "therapy": Your goal is to figure out why she's insecure, you ask open-ended questions and listen to her yap about her trauma, her insecurities, what she's thinking when she acts like that etc. etc. Your job is just to listen mostly. And to get her to talk about it. That is like 90% of the healing right there.

What losers do is pretend she's not uncomfortable or not insecure, and just dance around the topic or not speak about it like the elephant in the room that it is. Unsure how to react to her. That solves nothing.
