I've been using the difference in asking Google "Why is my WIFE/HUSBAND shouting at me?" as an example of gender bias for years.

Husband result:-

While yelling is common in relationships, it is unhealthy when it becomes a default communication style. Understanding the exact cause and finding constructive ways to de-escalate requires looking at the specific dynamic between you two.

I was looking up a song’s name with part of the lyrics cause I wanted to know if I knew the singer, the lyric was something like “to all my sisters who have a brother who doesn’t treat them right”. I didn’t put song at the end cause I thought it was specific enough and something not said that much outside of the song. The IA showed up (it doesn’t for me in many searches) and told me I wasn’t alone and offered me advice 😐 and it called me “sis”. And I don’t even like the song, I just wanted to know the singer.

It is not always hateful in personal chats towards men, I am a bloke and not all interactions with ai are negative even if it’s about my gender but yeah I see your point

AI has actually improved quite a lot; I fed gemini flash the two screenshots + a bit of text, and the output it generated (+ the follow-ups) is actually totally fine imo: https://gemini.google.com/share/e649b3f4895d

Even just one or two years ago, mainstream llms wouldn't have had these kinds of discussions even hypothetically and would have shut down almost immediately. You can actually push them quite far, you'd be surprised how much ground it is willing to give even on very fundamental societal questions nowadays (if you argue in a (for the llm) convincing way).

It should surprise no one that google neutered its AI to reflect their leaderships bias. They are a large part of this negative propaganda wave we've been dealing with for a decade. I don't even get mad about it anymore. I've never taken bullshit artists seriously.

Hm. I don't read this as anti male. Everything described here can easily be applied to both genders, and I don't see this comment as specifically identifying men as the sole perpetrators of the issues identified.

"Frustration with men often comes from deeply ingrained communication gaps and relationship dynamics"- In this context, either gender could be the cause of this sentiment. Women are certainly capable of acquiring deeply ingrained communication gaps and unequal relationship dynamics, causing them to be frustrated with men, through no fault of the man. That statement cuts both ways as it's written.

"When people express this sentiment, it usually points to specific behaviors..etc.." same thing with this sentence. In this context, the person expressing the sentiment and the driving behavior behind those sentients, could just as easily be the woman. RE: She lacks emotional intelligence, has poor listening skills, or unequal sharing of labor, therefore, she pronounces "Men Suck" while failing to understand she is the problem, not him.

It does not say these characteristics are exclusive to men, nor does it identify men as the cause, it just says "Here are some things that cause PEOPLE to say "men Suck"

Furthermore, the last line very specifically states "Reducing entire groups based on gender isn't helpful or accurate" I'm not sure it gets any more neutral than that, quite honestly.

I don't see this as a hill we want to die on. Seems pretty innocuous to me, and can easily be interpreted either way.
