Let's start off with a bit of backstory. I started working on myself about 7 weeks ago. Before that i didn't work, wasn't keeping in touch with anyone, drinking a lot near daily, eating like shit, smoking, watching porn and gaming/youtubing/redditing away just about all my time.

Then, desperate for change, I called an old friend, explained the situation and made a deal with him to be my accountability partner for a while. This pretty much did it for me and i started to succeed.

The first month i:

  • Started eating right (carnivore, which progressed to keto. Now i eat veggies and meat. Drinking water only, Doing intermitten fasting)

  • Ditched porn ( 2 setbacks, which is pretty good i guess)

  • Quit smoking

  • Quit drinking

  • Started walking every day

  • Upped my general hygiene.

In the 2nd month so far:

  • Ditched any type of games i'd spend to much time on

  • Ditched any type of news, politics or conspiracy (everything is conspiracy nowadays anyways) except for the info i need. (Mainly checking lockdown rules when i need to know)

  • Got a job. Nothing fancy but it keeps be busy with decent pay

  • Gone on meal a day with my diet.

  • I've been contacting friends and family a lot more.

Next month i wanna add

  • Working out 3 times a week

  • Learning to code. Daily

Now on paper this all seems fantastic

  • i've lost about 10 kilo's in 50 days, getting me into overweight, from obese.

  • A lot which keeps me physically active and giving me disposable income.

  • More and better human interaction

  • Feeling that i'm becoming less obsessive and more relaxed in my interactions, feeling my confidence grow

  • Living a far more healthy lifestyle

So why don't i feel better? Why can't a appreciate what i've accomplished? Why isn't my general mood improving? Why do i seem to lose interest in pushing on? i'd even go as far as to say that i don't really feel better compared to the point i started from.
