I've been a /r/mensrights visitor for a long time, and an MRA for even longer, but I get frustrated when I see posts here that don't forward our cause and are just a way of pointing the finger at feminists being stupid.

Of course, a lot of what is done in the name of feminism IS stupid - but it doesn't always belong in this sub, and the proliferation of these posts dilute our message.

I feel that /r/mensrights needs to be crystallised.

So, I created /r/foolishfeminism.

Here's the description. If you agree, I'd love it if you subscribed.

"Welcome to Foolish Feminism.

/r/foolishfeminism is a place to put those news articles, YouTube videos, Facebook updates, tweets and tumblr posts that show up feminism for the sham it is today. Let's get something straight. In the beginning, feminism was vital, and did some great things. In other parts of the world, it's still necessary.

However, across the West and in other developed countries, it has mutated into a stick to beat people with and a way to shut down debate about oppressed groups. True feminism should be egalitarian - what you see is radical feminism, and that is poisonous.

  • Women get whistled at on the street? Oppression! The world needs more feminism and everyone has to listen. Men make up the vast majority of street violence victims? They need to stop moaning and grow up.

  • Women don't feel like they get promoted at work as much as they should? Oppression! The world needs more feminism and everyone has to listen. Men make up 96% of workplace deaths? They need to stop moaning.

  • A woman is naked in a music video? Oppression! The world needs more feminism and everyone has to listen. Men are routinely depicted in the media as idiots or sex objects? They need to stop moaning.

You get the idea.

Feminism today is largely irrelevant and exists to divert funds away from other causes, and to make a noise about things that really don't matter.

Got an argument to make? Post it here - you won't get shadowbanned for having a different point of view. The case against radical feminism is so strong that dissenting opinions are welcome.

However, anyone on either side getting aggressive or insulting, will be banned. So - if it really doesn't matter or doesn't make sense, but feminists are making a big deal about it - post it here.

Let's make the world realise that is a con at work, one that is wasting valuable resources and sweeping real issues and real oppression under the carpet."

So you'll see, that while it's a place to poke fun at feminist academics, writers and even tumblrtards, I also hope it's somewhere that real arguments against radical feminism can be made - hopefully winning people over; for that reason, aggression, personal attacks and calling someone a 'cunt' or 'bitch' or 'neckbeard' or 'manchild' (basically anything that belittles anyone on either side) is not allowed.

I'd like for it to work hand-in-hand with /r/mensrights, as highlighting the inconsistencies, irrelevance and outright falsehoods of modern feminism are often very relevant to the MRM.

Please, let me know what you think, and let's make it something that shows off the foolishness of feminism while making /r/mensrights clearer and stronger.
