Hey guys,

My LTR came out of a relationship of six years before dating me. She closed her relationship because she wanted to stay with me. Our relation is generally going great, however some days she gets a setback and think about her old relation, I always tell her that this is not a sign of respect to me and she should behave, although I understand that it happens in this short time after her break. Now she got a bigger setback, and she wants to visit her hometown to visit her parents and talk to this guy face to face to close with him. But she can't promise me nothing will happen. How can I deal with this situation? I think that going back to her ex will.only make the situation worse, and I tell her that if she wants to be with me she should consider the things I say. But she says that she feels to do this since she stayed with him for 6 years.
