As someone else said, what you need to do now is break the cycle you're in. Go for a walk. Go to the store when you sober up, buy some of the sidebar books, and make it your personal homework to get them done this weekend, rather than sit around in the bottom of a bottle.

Every negative thing you think or do makes you think and do more negative things.

Listening to BP songs and crying will only make things worse. You need to listen to the happy songs, the get-pumped songs, the dance tracks. The ones that remind you of the good things in your life, if there's nothing good in your life right now, then remind yourself what's worth living for.

You lost your brother - sorry to hear that - my brother and I are close, and if I lost him, I'd be a fucking wreck too. I'd give myself time to mourn. And then I'd move on, because he'd want me to and time waits for no man, and as a man you have responsibilities.

Your girl left you at the worst possible time? Of course she did - that's how women are - they are all about chasing their feelings. As long as you make them feel deep emotions, they will flutter around you like a moth to a flame, but as soon as you get boring or pathetic and are unable to provide them with enough stimulus to keep their attention, they are gone.

It doesn't matter that your brother died - she didn't care. What she cared about was that you showed your weakness (never open up or show weakness to a woman) and stopped paying attention to her and so she went off in search of some other guy who would. Read the sidebar, turn your sadness into anger and your anger into forward momentum and work on building a bigger, better you. You're already torn down, so you're here at the right time in your life to rebuild.

The good news is that most of us have been there, and all of us have survived a loss of a family member or a girl we had loved. It really hurts. Take some time to grieve, but really think of this as turning point to turn your life around. You were far to dependent on this girl. Don't ever let that happen again. Love again, but love yourself and your next partner equally.

Let yourself grieve, get it all out out of your system. You'll still be sad but it will be manageable after you deal with the initial emotional shock. After a couple days you should be ready to get back on your feet. Then it will be time to take care of yourself. That means getting enough sleep and nutritional food. Pretend you're recovering from an injury. Get to the gym and ease into a good workout routine. If you can't find a gym cheap enough you can do body weight exercises but a gym is best because it also gets you out of the house. Nutrition and sleep will again be important. Once you've got your life basically together again work on figuring out a way to finish school. It will not be easy but it will be worth it to not have to work at KFC to make ends meet.

This is your path, but for right now it's okay just to grieve. It will make the process easier on you in the long run to get it out now.

Also along with lifting try to take 20 min to an hour to meditate. It really clears the junk in your head and puts focus into ya. It's not even hard just find a quiet room, sit down, and breathe through your nose and out through your mouth. Personal I like to listen meditation music but everyone is different.

The advice to go and lift is because it provides you a proper masculine channel to diffuse your emotions. Sadness turns to anger. Anger turns into muscle. Muscle turns into confidence. Confidence brings you the ability to solve your emotional problems. I'm sorry about your brother. I can guarantee that he wouldn't want you to have a pity part over him though. He'd want you to do the best that you can with your life from this day forward. Carry him with you and get shit done. You have a deep understanding of how precious life is now. Don't waste it.

Welcome, its going to be a long journey, but you're going to be better for it.

STEP 1: Sober up. Quit drinking for the time being. Drinking is only going to keep you numb and complacent to the reality of your situation. You need to feel this emotions, and turn them into positive catalyst for change.

STEP 2: LIFT. Now that the alcohol has left your system, you're going to feel intense anger. That's to be expected, and its good. Think of that anger as high-octane fuel in your physiological gas tank, you need to burn that fuel physically at the gym, as well as mentally.

STEP 3: Burn the mental fuel reading the side bar. Swallowing the pill is a six credit college course that only starts to really make sense three to four months later, but when it clicks, the reward is amazing.

Step 4: Keep coming back. This is like heartbreak AA that will make you a better man. But it only works if you let it, and you keep coming back.

Step 5: Don't be afraid to ask questions.
