How do you approach a girl without coming off as needy or chasing her? The sidebar says women like that Dark Triad Personality a.k.a the "bad boy". So how do you convey that off of the initial approach?

Edit: what im trying to ask is more along the lines of how do i talk to her and get her intrigued and interested and in turn to start chasing me? And how would one convey outcome independance when they are the one opening or going out of there way to talk to her?
