Going through a break up. It's been only a fortnight but no contact is strong. I was gifted a very expensive watch (5 figures) a year ago by my now ex LTR which I have no intention at all of wearing again. Although I have no plans in getting back with her, she's a good girl and selling the watch would do her a lot of good. My plan was to mail the watch to her home address (obviously without a note) in a week from now. What do you boys think? I know I have zero obligation at all to return it but I want to because it was an expensive gift that I will no longer use and the cash will help her. Is this a big no?
Edit: Fucking hell. Some really helpful advice here - appreciate it heaps. After some of your comments I had a really close look at myself as to why I would even bother with this and it dawned on me that, fuck, the wound is still fresh and I was/am subconsciously hopeful of some sort of interaction with her. Fuck. It's crazy how the feels creep up on you. As some of you suggested, I'm going to keep the watch - or at the very least, give myself another 2 months, 6 months, a year to get over the breakup first and hopefully by that time I won't care what I do with the watch.
