I'm starting to worry a little bit about my career prospects after college. I go to a very, very, good engineering university and my GPA at the moment is a 3.2. It might go up to a 3.3/3.4 by the end of this semester.

I know that GPA means shit after you get your first job, but it affects the first job you'll get, and won't future recruiters judge your potential based on the jobs you've had in the past (no-name companies vs big companies)?

I really want to make a lot of money after college, and I know that I'm better than 90% of the chumps in my engineering program, but I'm a terrible student and my GPA is only mediocre.

Any advice on this?
