I would prefer a newbie sub than a 30+ sub cause most of TRP applies to all ages.
It's when I read "I know this girl from school or college and she is in my class, and I said her this... and was that alpha?" That pisses me off
Edit: Just to clarify, I still don't think that's a good reason for a "newbie" sub as I can relate when I was younger
[–]1Reddthrown[S] 5 points6 points7 points 11 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
That works too. The worse is when "I'm in high school" only comes out in the comments.

I'm observing an increase in childish/teen comments on TRP. This is not good.

"Just got out of a serious relationship. About 3 months long"
[–]cocaine_face6 points7 points8 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I wouldn't be against this. I'm 29 and the advice does seem to skew young.
That being said, we are all the masculine fathers we never had too, so it's important to stay in contact with those younger than us.

Do you know about /r/AlreadyRed ?
Might not solve the er.. "problem" you're describing, but it sounds like you'd be happier hanging out there at least.
[–]1Reddthrown[S] 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I did not. Thank you.

You're welcome.

The young bucks need our input.
[–]1Reddthrown[S] 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link
How would the proposal prevent you from that?
[–]GhostRiderkempff9 points10 points11 points 11 years ago* (8 children) | Copy Link
I'm not too keen on whipping up niche spinoff subreddits that have a population of a couple hundred and a half-life of six months.
IMO we over-30s men ought to be having our redpill-oriented discussions in front of the young men so that they know what to look forward to: real strength and real power that doesn't revolve around your dick.
Some of these guys are, for example, ready to start their own businesses and hire actual employees and could really use some reassurance during their transition from ruling themselves and ruling women, to ruling other men. If we keep our older-guy conversations in front of them in full view, it will prevent the younger men from thinking that the next stage in life is mysterious or anticlimactic, and they will see the next step as the step-up that it really is.
They want to be like us, Reddthrown. Let's blatantly let them eavesdrop.

Well said and I completely agree.
[–]1Reddthrown[S] 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Good points. Perhaps we should just start using a [30+] tag.
[–]GhostRiderkempff-1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Even better, let our content and demeanor say it.
[–]1Reddthrown[S] 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I'd rather avoid having to trawl through the high school / college content if I can avoid it.
[–]Modredpillschool1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Agreed, removing 30+ people would kill both TRP and the resulting 30+ sub.
[–]ModMachiavellianRed0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I concur, splintering off the 30+ age group is a terrible idea.
[–]halfnerf-1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Transparency as well. Can't have two schools of RP floating around. Unless of course we need a scape goat for everyone else. Or maybe we should...?
[–]fyseaking0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Because then everyone would move to the 30+ sub asking for advice for the more experienced.
[–]GhostRiderkempff0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
At which point we would have two subs with the same problem.
[–]fyseaking-1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
My thoughts exactly.
[–]redpillfrasier1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
We should add mandatory age-range tags/flair

Our situation and needs are vastly different
How so?
[–]1Reddthrown[S] 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago* (7 children) | Copy Link
We're less fit, have more money, less time, more experience, and more of an age gap with the girls we pursue. Girls simply treat you differently at 30. Careerwise, we're usually senior and approaching the top of a pyramid we need to climb.
[–]Endorsed Contributortepper23 points4 points5 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
less fit
Speak for yourself. If you're not in the best shape of your life at any age, you're doing it wrong.

Core TRP concepts are still the same. Self-improvement, frame, integrity, etc. The women are simply a side-effect/fringe benefit.
I see a 30+ TRP sub turning into a circle jerk of rapidly graying guys talking about the 21 year old waitresses they pull in between bragging about their 401Ks. No thanks. Aren't there enough TRP child subs?
I fully believe that the guys on TRP who are focusing on gaming women are completely missing the point of TRP. It's evident all over this sub.
[–]1Reddthrown[S] 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Replace with "harder to get fit" if you're going to nitpick.
A circle jerk would not be useful. Sharing lessons on how to pick up the waitress and build the 401k would be useful.

The young guys here rely on our advice, and a 30+ sub would inevitably be frequented by younger guys asking how to get where we're at as well.
I can see what you mean. I'd probably still sub anyway.
[–]cocaine_face1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
I haven't noticed this, except that girls treat me with more respect.
[–]1Reddthrown[S] 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Your advice would be particularly welcome.
[–]cocaine_face0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Well, I may be atypical. I look significantly younger than my age (I can easily pass for very early 20s, possibly even under 20, though that's pushing it) and I live near a major big ten university. But I have had 0 problems hooking up with 18-25 year old girls. The only thing I'd say it probably hurts is my number of Tinder matches.

Clearly you do not have a cocain_face, then.
