i just dont get why they won't realize how their trivializing rape is such a big ginormous FUCK YOU to everyone who has actually been raped. I've actually posted something like this in TwoX after I saw something particularly infuriating but it obviously got deleted. those people need to step back and re-evaluate their priorties. and see how they only cause damage. to the men who are wrongly accused of rape (regret is not the same thing as having been raped, someone wishing you a good day in new york is not rape), to themselves, their reputation and possibly their future and mostly to victims of actual rape. do they not realize how shitty it is to see those posts trivializing something as horrible as that? i wasnt raped, other things happened to me, but fuck their bullshit. i know that there are people who have had way worse things happen to them. and it still enrages me how they make everything about that one topic and how they have no grasp of reality or other people's feelings. i just refuse to have them crap all over actual victims of rape anymore.

ugh. sorry for the rant.

Could have written this myself! I am in the military reserves (U.S.), so far this year my unit has spent more hours on sexual harassment training than on WEAPONS TRAINING. Makes. Me. Sick.
