Oh man, no way! Not that this blog post makes a good argument for it. The argument against women's vote is that women's suffrage is correlated with loss of "individual freedom" though how exactly isn't clarified beyond the creation of gun control laws. But it's also correlated with "increased paganism." Wouldn't the greatest amount of individual freedom also entail a diversification of religious beliefs?

Anyhow, women having a political voice is pretty irrelevant to sexual strategy. There's nothing to be gained from women voluntarily giving up voting rights.

I don't see that happening simply because we have always been of a like-mind. But if it were to? I go back and forth. I may defer to him but I honestly don't think he'd want me to.

Honestly, there are several reasons I may not vote at all in coming elections.

There's nobody to vote for - they are all politicians. They are all the same; their job is to get elected & stay elected. That's it. End of story.

When someone starts up a political conversation with me I always say, "The difference between us is that you believe that there are good politicians." That usually stops the conversation.

I'm a monarchist. This voting stuff is for the birds. And by that I mean the winged kind.

In all seriousness, I would gladly let go of women's suffrage. If I can dig it up, I'll find a copy of Florence King's argument for repealing the 19th Amendment. She was (is?) a feminist, but of a very peculiar kind that I have a teeny bit of sympathy with. Her Misanthrope's Corner was a treasure of a column.

i am a minarchist and oppose popular voting. im not really concerned what form the gov. takes, as long as its role in everday affairs is minimal and mostly involves exercising a monopoly o the legal use of force and arbitration of contract disputes. a king would be fine

Is it the chicken or the egg that liberal politicians are far more charismatic? Did they do this to play to women or were women already playing into their hands? Is it any surprise most liberal politicians are womanizers? Bill Clinton is pretty epic on both fronts. I am very curious to see what would happen if a conservative male politician had the same charisma as Mr. Clinton. I would love to see where the female votes went then.

Frankly, that promise isn't a big enough one for me to get up off the couch. I may be in the minority here but I don't view the US Constitution as a perfect document that will return us to the glory days.

Irrelevant. The system is broken with or without women's suffrage, Vox Day makes some great points in his article that was quoted.

IIRC, the vikings had a thing where the head of the household voted on behalf of the household, and the wife basically had "veto power" over the man if for some reason she disagreed with what was being voted on. Don't quote me on this though.

I think a system like this makes the most sense since it inhibits the divide-and-conquering of many demographics to pit them against one another for the benefit of the elected and their special interests.

FTFY. Our voting system sucks and allows the willfully ignorant an equal voice to those that bothered to graduate from high school/college. All opinions are not created equal. There should be some kind of IQ test to vote- and no matter the gender, if you pass you vote.
