My wife likes the submissive role- She was raised in a good, happy and successful family, and they followed this model.

I was raised by my single father- which taught me how to be a man and self-sufficient, but with never having seen how a husband should really lead a full family, I just assumed the norms placed on marriage by our society is just the way things were- "happy wife, happy life" kind of thing.

Until I literally stumbled upon MRP (by hitting random).

We are a young couple with a 10 month old- and while things are still going great and we have a pretty solid relationship so far, I can already see things starting to go down the road of dead bedrooms and passive, angry bullshit in the relationship- mainly from me allowing myself to let shit slide, and slowly start to slip into a dad bod that sits on the couch and watches tv after work. I don't even want to let this shit get past year two in our relationship.

So, I told her there are going to be some changes. I'm going to be bettering myself, and I'm going to ensure that this ship is full steam ahead with me at the helm. She got it- totally on board, and I got a bj for just having the convo.

So, all that being said- I wanted to see if there were any books that she could read that could help her understand that being submissive doesn't mean what society tells her it means. I don't want a scared, insecure and mousy wife that I bark orders to- I want the wife that gets it, and rises to the occasion- And she will if she can understand the direction that we're heading and what I'm trying to accomplish. So, while I'm reading my books, working out, whatever- she wants to better herself as well.

Any suggestions?
