I am about 5 months in from unplugging. I've been lifting and running, dressing better, and getting a lot more attention from women. All good things. But the other night, I was skyping with my mother, as I do every week. She lives far away. She said something to me she never said before. "You look good! You seem happy, and you have a twinkle in your eye!" Anyway, wasn't seeking or expecting validation, but confirmation from one's own mother is nothing to complain about. EDIT: ok, I hear what some of you are saying about more useful information and also generating attention from women, and you're right. So, I was presenting at a conference this past Thursday to an audience of fellow educational professionals from across my state, mostly young women. I had their full attention, and three of the more cute ones came up to me afterwards to ask silly questions that they already knew the answer to as a pretext to flirt. So, I flirted back, complimented a gal on her scarf, and got a smile, a blush, some big pupils, a few laughs and kino from two. That kind of shit NEVER happened before I unplugged, mostly because I lacked charm, confidence, was out of shape and did not like to present, and it showed. I'm no toastmaster, but I felt more confident and poised in front of this audience than ever before. So, why mention my mother? Simple. She is an intelligent, experienced person whose insights and opinions about people are usually worth listening to. I felt the same way about my father, before he passed. The twinkle in my eye she mentioned was caused, in no small part, by the succesful presentation on Thursday. I should have mentioned that first. Thanks for the correction.
