I was asked to outline my approach, on the hills of questioning a FR done by /r/bluepillprofessor. So here you are.
First off, I'm in my 40s, married 20 years. Great career with a lot of professional pressure and satisfaction. I've kept myself in good shape over the years but in now way would be considered ripped. Women find me attractive for a variety of reasons and always have.
My home runs smoothly with my children understanding that I am at the head of the household. They've never been told as much, they just see the way my wife and I interact. We're not dating, we're married. We're running an operation, for lack of a better term.
My wife stays at home. We're fortunate enough that I make enough money to afford a good lifestyle while only having one person out of the home working. As a result, our roles are very clearly defined. I work, she keeps the home, the children work hard in their studies and activities. We all have expectations of each other.
I won't go into the details of our sex life. I believe details on those matters are similar to financial matters; they're private. I will say I have a satisfying sex life and my wife would say the same. We love what we bring to each other's life. The variety in our sex life and rich and we're not afraid of doing/trying new things. When I feel the frequency dips below my expectation, I will initiate and if my wife isn't in the mood, we'll still have sex. On these nights, it's for me. For a long time, I struggled with this notion, believing if she wasn't in the mood, it was because of me and some unspoken deficiency of mine. I've learned, through reading TRP and internalizing that it's not the case. Sometimes she's not in the mood. Well that's too bad, I want to have sex. She understands this and as someone who loves me, will oblige. When I first started this approach I feared this would become the norm, that it would always be obligatory sex and I was relieved to learn after a month or so it wasn't the case. I believe my wife grew closer knowing she could be there 'for me' when it was required. This is a point for you lads suffering deadbedooms to consider.
I think this sub has potential however, I see some troubling components starting to crop up. The 'I tied up my wife' post from /u/bluepillprofessor being a huge one. It reads, sadly, like some sort of silver bullet porn for guys trying to find their way. I take exception to the idea that betraying the trust of your wife for the sake of bragging one's exploits should somehow be held up and applauded. It's not. It certainly flies in the face of any Captain/First Officer dynamic /u/bluepillprofessor likes to promote.
So men, be mindful of what you post and whether getting the upvotes online is worth the potential real world 'downvote' from your partner.
And finally, I was downvoting for disagreeing with a mod. Do yourself a favor and think before downvoting. You have the chance to create something really great here but acting like twoXc will just make worthwhile contributors with a contrarian view leave. You don't want that.
