It's shitty whiskey only a girl would like anyway.

[–]TheTrenTrannyTrain81 points82 points  (1 child) | Copy

Get woke, go broke.

Pander to SJW's to alienate your core consumers, that's the new 2019 corporate playbook.

[–]Senior Endorsed Contributormax_peenor74 points75 points  (0 children) | Copy

This one makes sense. Alcoholism is skyrocketing among post-wall, cat-herding career power-women. You know, them being so fulfilled and all now. Let them have the swill. They love shitty box wine too--why not this?

[–]InvictusDO58 points59 points  (2 children) | Copy

The future is female is one of the most sexist things I've ever read.

[–][deleted] 20 points21 points  (0 children) | Copy

I was just about to say this. There's nothing wrong with true equality across the board, but this statement is fucking bullshit

[–]Senior EndorsedMattyAnon8 points9 points  (0 children) | Copy

No women are objecting to this statement - proving feminism for what it is

99% of men are fucking dumb for going along with this shit...

Here little piggies, just stroll into the slaughterhouse... women must be laughing their socks off as the pigs compete to get inside first

Johnnie Walker is atrocious. Red Label is damn near undrinkable

What would you guys recommend then? Back in highschool we would treat ourselves here and then with RL. Nowadays, I can't drink anything "worse" than RL, but weirdly enough, I can drink it pure, unlike Jack Daniel's, which is fucking overrated as shit too.

If you can still get it where you are, Vat 69 is a good blended scotch for a fair price. For a bit more $, you can't go wrong with Glenmorangie.

[–]heroicnapkin1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

If you're gonna do scotch, you might as well shell out for those $40 ones at least. Glenmorangie is superb for the price tbh.

Talisker Skye/Storm is great. For smoke, lagavulin is still top-notch. For a blend I highly recommend Sheep Dip. I also occasionally gravitate towards Chivas Regal because I enjoy LARP'ing as Hunter S. Thompson from time to time.

lagavulin and a cigar and I’m a happy man

[–]MikeTyson910 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

Have you tried Ardbeg? Pricey, but it has that smoky taste which I must say is incredible.

Not talking about fine whiskeys to enjoy, talking about whiskeys to get hammered with :D

Getting woke didn't work well for Gilette

[–]wtf7934 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy

Neither did it work for Ghostbusters or Star Wars. I’m tired of these “cuckponies”

[–]DigitalDragonSlayer14 points15 points  (0 children) | Copy

Great. Never buying JW ever again.

To what extent is "all publicity good publicity"? That's a bold move Cotton let's see how it plays out for them

I love that line from that movie.

"He will not be able to see very well..."

I'm out out of the loop. What does "gets woke" mean?

[–]Modredpillschool[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children) | Copy

There are some entertaining defintions on urban dictionary (which I'm surprised hasn't themselves become woke by now):

Being "Woke" is what happens when instead of taking one blue pill, you down the entire bottle.

A state of perceived intellectual superiority one gains by reading The Huffington Post.

The act of being very pretentious about how much you care about a social issue

[–]AllahHatesFags6 points7 points  (0 children) | Copy

It means going full social justice warrior/feminist. Bonus points for men who embrace cuckoldry.

[–]millioneuroextreme5 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy

That like to comment ratio though. Get fucked, Johnnie.

[–]spaceraverdk3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy

Meh. I'll have a glass of Lagavulin..

Some food for thought:

  1. As most of you have probably figured out, it’s likely that part of the drive to get women more involved in business and industry is motivated by the desire to exploit a new consumer group that previously didn’t exist and that now has more money. This is supplemental to the likelihood that by adding more people to the work force (females) corporations can pay lower wages in terms of real dollars (by actual purchasing power). It used to be that one earner in a household could support a family and purchase a house. Now it often takes two earners.

  2. In recent years, companies such as Johnnie Walker have seen much of their growth in expanding markets; mainly Africa, where people traditionally home brew and home distill alcohol, but who are now becoming more amendable to the idea of purchasing mass market alcohol. (See The Economist for specific information on this.) In the first world, Walker probably believes they’ve reached maximum market penetration for sales to men, so now they’re catering to women who now have disposable incomes and who are more frequently without children and so have more time to get drunk.

  3. While this campaign negatively affects my own personal interest in considering whether I want to purchase this particular brand (as it does for many of you), remember that Johnnie Walker is owned by what is basically the largest alcohol distribution company in the world (InBev), which owns brands such as Budweiser, Corona, Leffe, Goose Island, Modelo, Rolling Rock, and others. They might possibly think twice next time they consider peddling this sort of thing if the outcry is noisy enough, but a token boycott of one of their products won’t affect them monetarily.

Great color, 3 interesting points so thank you for adding this comment.

I would only argue that boycotting the JW brand does hurt that business unit. Although the parent conglomerate will not suffer, best case scenario is that sales of JW dip enough to the point where executives get fired.

[–]Hugh_Munghous2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

I thought it was a bit humorous when they began marketing their Jane Walker line. They typically age the scotch for 12 years, so it’s unlikely that any of the scotch in the Jane Walker bottles was actually conceived as Jane Walker when it was initially made.

[–]DarkSyde30001 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy

"The future is female"

Isn't that what that idiot Star Wars producer chick wore on a t-shirt? Christ.

Whatever, blended scotch is garbage anyway.

[–]SpecialistParticular0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

The Force is indeed female though because they're the only ones who wield it now. Even the male villain is a fucking cuck who can't do anything without screwing up.

[–]Avertus0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

I really think there's some undercover marketing troll who hops from company to company, then convinces the pr department to adopt feminist bs then waiting for the advertising disaster to come down like an avalanche

[–]1TheLegionnaire000 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Am I the only redpiller who prefers Irish Whiskey over scotch? lol
