I have several exotic cars.

1 - They are not fucking you because you're a cool guy with a cool car, you're shouting beta provider. Be cool with that, and it's ok. But understand that's the image.

Wealth, especially false displays of conspicuous consumption, beyond a certain surprisingly low threshold, doesn't raise your SMV.

The biggest issue here, though, is you feeling the need to "front" with a cool ride, rather than wanting a cool ride because you want a cool ride and are willing to work for it and be smart about it. Do things because you want to do them.

Buying a toy on credit is rarely a good idea.(I know, sometimes there are deals and it makes sense, but keep the discussion simple.)

If you become more independent as a result of owning the car, it can definately boost your value. I grew up on the countryside in a sparsely populated part of my country, where you need a car to live life and not be dependent on mommy and daddy. That said, don't buy a car to use it as a status symbol.
