It seems that you already answered the question. In The Manipulated Man by Esther Villar, she explains how women a lot of times use sex as a reward. A man provides for her, and to keep him doing that, and gladly doing that, she uses sex. But what happens nowadays is that women don't even need to give the reward anymore. For betas, just being in her presence is the reward. Because of that, she can have guys providing her with either validation or actual material things, without even needing to reward them with sex. When you were a beta orbiter to a girl, it's really hard to become anything else. Because as you stated, the girl won't really like the fact that you won't be providing her anymore, and now wants to have sex (the reward).

Women have this figured out. They generally don't befriend guys they are attracted to. This is why they get friendzoned so much less than guys do. Learn from them.

Let's be real for a second. She wasn't really your friend, was she? You were her orbiter and you chose to want to change that. Good for you. Maybe over time she will actually be able to provide you friendship or, and I think this is more likely, you will get with her. It will just take her some time to get there.

Right now, just ignore her and find some other chicks to work. Watch. When she sees you with another chick, she will start to come around to you.

Seriously dude wtf some of the responses here astound me. She’s human she probably feels awkward because she sees you as just a friend and it’s weird having friends hit on you. Just because you basically got rejected doesn’t mean she was using you all this time. If anything it’s your fault for not making things clearer earlier instead of becoming an orbiter yourself.
