I met this guy on tinder back in December, things were well, off and on. I found out a little bit about him, he smokes weed daily, blacked out drunk every weekend, & his friends aren’t the greatest (depression plays a roll). I have always had a feeling he may be depressed but he hasn’t really came to me and said he is.

In February, he went on a business trip we didn’t talk for 6 days. He came back to me when he came back to our state, he kind of explained kind of didn’t in a way. We aren’t dating btw.

Last week, I told him I was coming home for spring break (we are in college & are an hour away from each other but our hometown is the same), he told me he was going away for the entire week, well, he lied to me. So now we haven’t spoken for almost a week & I never confronted him. But it’s just confusing & it’s upsetting me, especially since he was always the one to offer to hang out/meet up. He flirts a lot, he replies quick, & he always starts the conversation with me. From the very start he did say “I’m not looking for a relationship at the moment I just don’t think I could handle one” but he knew that I was looking for a relationship, so I just don’t get it. He also would say things like “never thought you’d be interested in me” etc, so what gives here? I don’t understand. Was I the issue? Is it me? Am I just not good enough? Why would he keep talking to me for 3 months nearly ? Was he interested? What do you guys think, I need advice.

he’s said before “I never thought you’d be interested in me”, we are not dating we haven’t met anyways. But it just is confusing and upsets me.

UPDAAATE: he came back yesterday and our convo was this basically: So he sent me a gym pic around 1 pm, and it said “back innn this bitch” with the geo tag of our city.

I replied “ohhh shit 👀”

He said thank you 😘

I put random emojis like : ✨💓☄️

Then he continued the convo asking how I was doing, what I did over break and stuff like that....

He told me he went to the festival (so I guess he never lied) but went on Tuesday of last week until Sunday.... he could have met me a few days before going but I didn’t even bother to say that :-/ idk :/ I’m just confused where I stand ?
