Parents start asking daughter to pay for thanksgiving flight after she gets a job. Would this article even exist if it was about a male?

The guy's more of an idiot than bp. You're driving a Benz and complaining about the cost of your kid's medication?

These two sound like they deserve each other.

You're driving a Benz and complaining about the cost of your kid's medication?

Why not? Someone I know takes medications that increase his blood pressure, and then other medications to counteract that increase in blood pressure, then more medication to counter the side effects of that blood pressure reducing drug. It is absolutely nuts the regimes some people go on, and if the mother has no sense about managing money she can pour thousands of dollars down the drain simply because she read some webmd page.

If you haven't made money, you can't really fully understand how to manage it, IMO. I completely agree the husband should make a budget for his wife, and then a budget for each of his kids.

"Dude, I'm really concerned about you" - nodded my head furiously

"How dare you criticize your wife for spending all of your money? You should be willing to sell your organs and even to die to allow her to do so. Here is what I suggest: run the house instead of her and realize that you can not live without her."

LMAO

EDIT: Really? Come on guys, this can't be serious.

[–]StattMan 6 points7 points8 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You missed the point. He didn't mention his wife buying anything for the sake of it and still blamed her. The answer suggested to swap places and see that she is just spending what is needed to run a household, especially when they have children to provide for.

[–]Movonnow 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Allright, thanks for the explanation.

Eh. Guys in china sell their kidneys to buy women a purse.

[–]Endorsed ContributorBluepillProfessor 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Sadly yes it can. These bluepill guys and women are serious as a judge.

Both of them have bad spending habits. Why is he driving a M-Class Benz (40,000 debt) with $30,000 in credit card debt?

The advice he received is even worse than their spending habits.

This post has caused quite the uproar. I'd like to clarify a few points. First, I didn't address the financials in the question, because I don't think the answers would actually help him. In my professional opinion, although he has significant financial problems, his primary issue has nothing to do with money.

What?

[–]sir_wankalot_here 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Maybe he needs the Benz for his job. If he is a lawyer or doctor he has to come across as successful. On the other hand if he is an Engineer his car isn't going to matter.

The $30K in CC debt is BS.

[–]garlicextract 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Exactly. I laughed and closed the tab when I read "[5 figure college debt] + [5 figure credit debt] + $40,000 on my M class"

[–]KingMinish 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

This is why I'm going to just live in a van

[–]Honesty05045 points 11 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

I've actually become interested in this recently. Are you serious, because I may pick your brain about the idea.

[–]NakedAndBehindYou 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well it's true, his primary issue is lack of testicular fortitude to say no to his wife.

[–]LAMFF 6 points7 points8 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The more I read the pithy dribble coming out of the mouths of cunts like this Peter Dunn, the happier I am to be single and unwilling to ever marry.

[–]checkcola 6 points7 points8 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

yeah... I got an email from my now ex-wife that proclaimed I'd soon learn how much work the laundry can be. I'm glad she's gone and what I really wonder is what the hell she was spending money on and WTF she was doing all day.

For those that are curious.... the laundry for myself and two children takes up about an hour a week or as I see it... a little less time that I spend crapping.

And arguing with the ex wife

[–]aphelion3342 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I suspect that the writer got trolled here. It's too perfect of a setup. How daft could someone really be.

You know you can live rather well on 120k$ in a cheap country like the states, even with that student debt.

and how does this whole home economy thing work? 2 yaers ago I Was studying part time, working full time, lifting and managing everything about my house from groceries to cooking to laundery

while it was stresfull, this was definitly not for using home apliences, some of which I didn't even have such as a dishwasher or a dyer.

how could anyone tolerate this kind of frame and what kind of life is this? after reading RP I tend to think some of this stuff has got to be made up, but I actually see it in real life with those married mid 30 year old guys in my workplace, and they all talk as if this 'life cource' is a given, at which point I get them to complain about their nonexistant retirement prospects.

[–]GhostOfAladdin 2 points2 points2 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

That is horrendous advice. He told the guy to get counseling??

There wasnt anything helpful about that.

Hope the questioner finds red pill soon.

[–]WarmApfelPi 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I wouldn't bother giving advice to someone that stupid, would you?

[–]Endorsed ContributorRed_August 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Gut feeling tells me he's a bit of a clueless bumbling chump but his bitch more than likely filled up the cards buying stupid shit, and she also sounds like she doesn't do shit in the house - it being the Hardest Job in the WorldTM and all that.

Financial advisor is a fucking White Knight.

His approach to exchange housework for spending money following a menu of prices however will fail miserably. You never want to be in a position to negotiate sex or chores with a woman. He's thinking she thinks like a man.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I know this guy isn't trolling with his advise,....but fuck,....I just can't believe people even think like this.....this is lightyears beyond bluepill
