Another good case was this one in Australia. A wife shot her sleeping husband point blank in the head with an illegal firearm after drugging him. Was acquitted on all charges because she claimed he used to beat her. All the accessories to the murder, including those who supplied the gun and dumped the body were also acquitted/given community service.

Premeditated murder is obviously a solution to abuse. Not necessarily the best solution, but there are definite instances where it is applicable.

Of course there should be evidence of the abuse, but I doubt there are many (if any) cases where no evidence of abuse is supported, yet the court lets the female off completely free.

It happened, she killed him and she admitted it live on the Tom Leykis show. She was using a friend's cell phone to make the call and her friend turned her in when the police investigated. Unfortunately due to some kind of technicality she is not in prison.

The title is misleading. She didn't get away with it after confessing; she lied about it initially. As soon as she confessed they began trying to trace her. Unless there is a follow up to this story where she eventually got away with it.

Look it up yourself. The follow up is she did get away with it.

They didn't have all that much trouble finding her; her real name and all that jazz is out there. But the case was never pursued, citing lack of evidence.

Sounds more like a problem with the legal system than her getting away with it because she's a woman. Either way she should be in prison.
