this is my first post in here, I didn't comment on other threads a whole lot but I thought this would perfectly fit in here.

So, it's about my best friend. She is still a virgin but she has a boyfriend. I talked with her about her relationship and she told me she isn't quite ready for sex yet. Later, she mentioned she already made an appointment with her gyn to get birth control. I asked her why she would do that, since I know she isn't ready yet. Her response: Her boyfriend said he wouldn't be going to wait six monthes until he can have sex with her, or he'd find someone else.

I thought that would be complete nonsense, until I remembered what I've read in this subreddit.
