my daughter is the reason i even started my journey which ultimately led me here and away from my old life as a depressed alcoholic with no perspectives. you could say that she made me a better person. i am also pretty sure i would have killed myself if it wasn't for her.

a kid will also put the world into a new perspective for you, if you let it. some things get way more important and some become irrelevant.

without a child you will miss out on a huge piece of the puzzle that is made of the fundamental questions about purpose and meaning. i absolutely think that you will not be able to make sense of many things without having been a parent yourself.

starts with understanding your own parents and being able to forgive them for their short-comings and to make peace with them and what ever they imprinted on you.

Preface: I dont have kids. I was talking with an older mentor of mine, a red-pilled alpha male with 5 kids, retired, crushed life, helped raise me cause my parents were shit at times. He shared this with me. He said at the time, he was living it up -motorcycles, drugs, women, wild times, hedonism, had money, could travel the world. He decided, after witnessing someone else's pure crazy involving drugs, that he was gonna do the damn thing - find a woman, get married, raise the babies, and be stable and a provider. And 2 weeks after that decision, me met the woman to be his baby momma. They are still married. His kids are doctors, accountants, and mostly well adjusted humans. (I dated his oldest daughter in high school, it's how we met. ) He said he could have kept going down the party route,but he saw where it lead, and decided consciously to go the other way. Having kids made him focus, made him not look at the nurses in the OR when he was working. Not cheat. Be dependable. His wife is a league or two below him, but has been faithful, devoted, and badass in her own right, due to his leadership. And their marriage was the one that kept my blue pill dream alive for so long until he told me that it was all a choice he made, and that's why it has worked. It was always, from the foundation, his frame.

to me it seems like we should really try to optimize for the best situation ~~to have a kid in~~ in whatever we do so we don't fuck ourselves over.

I can honestly say my 1st kid improved my life by giving me perspective. There's downsides as well.

But honestly I wouldn't want it any other way.

Idk, my brother had a kid a little under a year ago and he is obsessed with him. He talks about him all the time and always tries to show me pictures.

I say this a lot and I mean it.

Me and the mom aren't together, but I have full custody because she's a fuck up.

My daughter gave me the motivation to improve my career, get physically fit and get my life organized. Now I'm making more, am in better shape, and happier than I've ever been.

This is just my experience though. I truly believe some guys just need something to shake them out of their apathy and show them that life is finite and our time here matters, or at least I did.

One mate of mine killed himself after his wife cheated and cause they had kids she basically raped him financially so badly and took most of his assets and he had to work for years to pay her off just so he could own the business he built himself. He killed himself and was worth $2 million before he did it.

Another mate has a kid and his wife and him are not doing well. He loves his kid but hates his life now. He just spent 30 days as an in patient in a mental ward. He had a full mental breakdown.

I’m sure kids are good for some men. But they don’t make life easier they make life way way harder.

When I was getting my education I interned in a couple of places. In each one the boss (male) basically shamed me for not having kids (I was married at the time). I was like "no thanks"
