Hello Ladies,

New RPW here looking for some guidance on how to turn around my current situation before it's too late and I lose the man of my dreams for good.

Quick context - I am 25 years old. I have never been in a real relationship and constantly find myself desiring men who want to sleep with me but don't want commitment. My weight issues have caused me to be insecure and seek validation (i.e sleeping with attractive men who treat me terribly).

I'm tall and have a very feminine body structure (large breast, small waist, large hips & butt) But i've always been bigger and curvier than my petite friends who seemed to be getting the attention from men I craved. Ive never been confident with my body and a lack of willpower has resulted in me being slightly overweight (significantly affecting my TMV) As a result I felt a need to overcompensate with personality, always (unintentionally) manipulating situations so that I was the "best friend." This, as many of you could probably guessed, often led to the guys I liked asking for advice on how to ask out my hotter friends. Eventually I got pretty numb to this and started to see men as either strictly friends or strictly sexual partners and didn't (still don't really) understand the balancing act of them both. **Probably also worth mentioning that there are some daddy abandonment issues at play here.

Since I was in high school (so almost 8 years now) I have been continuing the same pattern with the same guy. I am stuck because I truly believe he could be the man for me but I haven't been able to do the things I know I would need to do to make him want to commit to me, or see me as a long term partner. It's hard to describe our relationship without getting swept away in wishful delusions, we've been close friends for my entire young adult life. Close friends seems like the wrong term considering our dynamic but essentially. Ive always wanted to be with him, wanted him to guide me, he's confident, strong, tall, ambitious, funny assertive, amazing in bed, sexy, and just all the things I craved. When we fight it is usually because I'm upset about the fact that he doesn't feel about me the way I want him too so badly. Or that I feel disrespected even though I can barely respect myself. He's made comments when angry about how different my life would be if I prioritized 'certain things' and I know by 'certain things' he means weight loss and fitness. I know most of you reading this will call me a naiive plate and maybe that's the case. But despite not committing to me, he still talks to me constantly. We have deep conversations about life and the world and our futures, and what we want. We have similar interests and hobbies and enjoy spending time together. Our lives and what we want are aligned and I know I would add value to his life. He has been in one relationship over these 8 years and it shattered me. She was fit, younger, hotter, richer and it broke my self esteem. You think that would push me to lose the weight but it just pushed me further into depression and self sabotage. We didnt talk when they dated but as soon as they brokeup he came back into my life. He said she was too shallow, only cared about looks, didnt have enough of a deep connection (didn't have what we had?). I know he is too Alpha to accept me for what I am right now, but I just can't let him go.

I have the opportunity over the next few months while I'm not working to really prioritize my weight loss. Do you think working to lose weight and trying to get him to see me as physically attractive enough to commit to me is a lost cause after so many years of this relationship dynamic? Do you have advice on how I can break destructive habits to improve my appearance and MV overall?

Thank you!
