I started reading Niel Strauss again, because I'm a loser who thinks he didn't get his money's worth from the books I bought. In the book I'm reading, he puts this idea forward and it immediately clicked with me. It explains what RP claims is hypergamy without making women appear masochistic, it can account for the anomalous cases of women who obsess over men who are mean to them, and it also is able to explain women who pursue men who radiate other kinds of strength.

Hit me with your best criticisms. I'm convinced his view is way better than any I've previously encountered
