It seems to me that a lot of the original evidence for RP came from field reports written by pickup artists. Correct me if I’m wrong. These field reports can be written as soon as a few hours after the given interaction. A pickup artist performs a cold approach and then writes it up. The types of evidence that are acceptable involve concrete, measurable events that happen soon after the cold approach (getting a phone number, a kiss, or sex.)

MRP admits more long-term outcomes, but it also assumes that you can turn your marriage around relatively quickly (maybe in months or a year at most?) and obtain measurable results, especially sex.

What about really long term outcomes, like: are you still happily married five years or even ten or twenty years later? How much evidence exists that RP helps for that?

What about outcomes like having a Platonic friendship? (With men or women.) Of course friendship is good to have by itself, and I'm not sure RP helps you make friends. But friendship also increases dating in the long term. Several of my LTRs were with women I met through a Platonic friend. (Such as at the friend's wedding.)

This data is available. All one has to do is to interview people with successful marriages and friendships and see how they got into those relationships. One could interview people who have been married 10, 20, 40, 60 years. Are RP proponents doing that? Should they be?
