I never asked anything about some trash I wanted to screw. The stupid sluts always volunteered it anyways, to which I responded with boredom or interruption into something I pretended to want to talk about. Interrupting someone while they're saying something important to them is a perfect way to make them more desperate to seek approval.

Treat them like old money treats classes lower than them: dismissively and as if they are your servants existing only for your amusement, but never show that you're enjoying their efforts.

I use an offshoot of the D.E.N.N.I.S system for seduction. The idea is that once you have demonstrated your value as a mate and nurtured dependence, you can start to act disinterested. If you do this too soon, she will lose interest.

In an ideal scenario, she is obsessed with you and you are neglecting her emotionally. THIS is when acting interested is a problem.

Absolutely. You first show her that you have a high SMV. This means that it is DEFINITELY okay to ask about her life because this shows her that you are interested. Nurturing dependence happens AFTER you are close to her physically and emotionally. This is the period where you incubate the relationship, immediately before cutting her off to make her dependent on you.

Do you really bring so little to the table that you need to play these kinds of mind games to keep a girl around?

My first-hand advice to OP: be a tall, attractive, charming guy grossing a hair over six figures, have a nice car and apartment downtown, and be respectful, straightforward, and communicative out of what you want in a relationship.

Girls I've been with stayed with me and remained faithful because I provide value to their lives and have desirable qualities, not because I've somehow tricked them into it.

Edit- jealousy is a bitch, I guess

Why did they keep running away?

Jokes aside, we mustn't forget that the women you form relations with must also provide value to you. Can be in the form of quality companionship, proven loyalty/faithfulness, emotional and financial maturity.

I never said anything to the contrary- I just think it's very pathetic and almost sociopathic that his advice is not to be the guy that a girl wouldn't leave in a million years, but rather to make the girl emotionally dependent on him.

Let conversation flow naturally and until you are able to do that and remain attractive you need to brush up on some tactics on conversation.

Asking about what music she listen to is a weak question and is hardly relevant to the situation at hand.

Asking how her day has been as soon as you meet is a good opener though. Because its just a natural flow of conversation.

talk to here in your natural way, but you set the date and you decide when it ends. be confident and make decisions!

At some point in the seduction you have to build rapport in order to get sex. Asking her about herself shouldn't by itself destroy your frame. If on a subconscious level you are asking her about herself because you yourself are seeking some sort of validation from her then she will feel that and lose attraction for you. It's about who's more invested. If she's more invested you can ask her, talk to her, about anything you want.

[–]fnordsnord0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's a balancing act. Questions like that express interest in her. Too many of them make you too eager and not enough of a challenge.

"So, where ya from?" is acceptable on a first date, but a barrage of questions makes you too eager.

Depends. If you're good with conversational arts & get her to talk about herself because she wants to, it's not the same to her as you just asking and getting the info and/or scorn for asking. You want to look for red flags and that's how you get info to know.

Wasn't too long ago I met a nice girl my age. Random conversation at the bus stop, her initiating, gave it a thought if she's worth opening. Thanks to conversational skill & her wanting to talk more than listen (oh, that's a shock), I picked up she's 40, divorced and still friends with her ex-husband. That's all I needed to know.

Kept the conversation friendly, won't pursue.

I'm not entirely sure, it's hard to know, but I think I picked up on her tone & body language change when she realized I went from maybe-interested to single-serving-friend mode.

It depends on frame. If you are going to ask questions about her past, you should ask them in a way that implies you are judging her responses to determine if she is good enough for you. It's similar to a job interview dynamic, where you are placing yourself in the position of hiring manager.

If you screw this up and ask questions with the frame that she is a truly precious snowflake, sort of like she is a celebrity you are interviewing for some fluff magazine profile, you're gonna have a bad time.

This is an area where reversing typically female tactics works well. Girls are always asking questions to gage a man's smv (what's your job, what are your interests, etc). Flipping the script and becoming the one that is analyzing and evaluating is disorienting for them, which is always good for arousal.

Belongs on /r/askTRP.

Yes. You'd come off as a good friend but nothing more.

[–]InSearchofOMG1 point 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Yeah big time/energy gap between asking a girl about herself at the start and getting her on the hook. You have to prop yourself up enough in her mind for her to miss you when you're gone.

You're worried about getting in too close early on. Keep it fun and moving forward. Take charge, because it's much easier to evaluate the playing field when you're doing what you can to set it. Think of your pickups as actual pickups, like in your car. Do you ever want someone else to drive your car? Take her for a ride bro.
