As I was browsing reddit a few days ago, there was a thread about cute things your SO does and I started thinking about what mine does that is just the cutest. Somewhere down the line, I remembered how men like to feel needed and useful and I realized I've been putting down my boyfriend at times and not realizing it!

I see him once or twice a week due to a half hour distance between us and different work schedules. I bring an overnight bag and a bag or two of produce if I'm making a meal, so it can get a little bulky for me. Every time I am getting ready to leave he asks me if I want help carrying my stuff to my car and every time I insist I can do it by myself, until this morning! I gave him a kiss and said I would love the help and handed him a bag and oh my gosh, he just lit up like a Christmas tree. I'm determined to never deny another offer of his help again.

What are ways you make your SO feel needed and useful?

Also, I realized while writing this that every time I cook or bake something he offers to help but I honestly don't know what to have him do. I'm used to doing everything on my own. He seems sincere when he offers to help but I can't help but wonder if he'd rather just sit down and relax. What do you do when your SO offers help in the kitchen, especially when you're cooking or baking?
