Acknowledging Reality

Finally, I think our focus should always remain on ensuring that we challenge the reality we perceive and discuss precisely and objectively whether or not our beliefs line up with the testable results we can replicate. I am a firm believer that potential success can only be maximized by maximizing your knowledge of the factors surrounding your success. Keeping your eyes closed and ignoring evidence and facts will not benefit you. Opening your eyes and acknowledging everything no matter how good, bad, or painful it may seem, is instrumental in making decisions that will lead to the happiest, most successful outcomes.

This is good advice for anyone.

I agree with these things in theory, although I absolutely disagree with how TRP actually approaches this issue. That post goes on to describe feminism as a "sexual strategy," which is totally inaccurate (I'd rather people not be treated poorly for their gender, regardless of the sex anyone is having), the glossary states "feminism is, therefore, a doctrine of class hatred, and violence," and the sub links to a blog post about a man distraught about his time spent without sex and claiming feminism hurt him (because of supposedly horrific things it taught him- like "not to accost [women] for sex aggressively, but to treat them as human beings"). And then there are the claims that women are inherently stupid or awful in some way.
I generally agree with this post describing goal-setting. It's great to give yourself the best chance for success you can. I also agree that it's worth examining ourselves if we are struggling to find success in our relationships or how we generally interact with others. For example, paraphrased from the "Social Attributes" section of the "Comprehensive Guide," being fidgety and not making eye contact is probably going to make some people uncomfortable when they talk to you.
I agree with the "Desires" section in the "Comprehensive Guide" post that discusses thinking about the various traits you want in a partner and communicating your desires with your partner. Not everyone does a great job of determining if someone is compatible with them and therefore set themselves up for unhappy relationships.

I think there's lots of good advice mixed with lots of bad advice. It's a lot like a cult in that sense.
