Does anyone else hate hearing this close-minded drivel? Every time I hear those words I feel like smashing my head into the nearest wall. It's not the phrase itself that is really the problem (because it's correct) but how people say it and the context in which they use it. Yes, no one is entitled to sex in much the same way no one is entitled to anything, however, oftentimes, the main impression I get from people who like to say this crap is that they don't take the human need for intimacy very seriously when it is, in fact, something serious. The way in which that phrase is typically used is incredibly marginalizing, and I hate it because, in most people, there is a strong and undeniable human need for intimacy. Problems with mental health are super common in those who have been starved of intimacy, and the people who say this crap usually have no problem getting sex and companionship so they wouldn't know anything about that anyway. The level of disconnect is truly unreal. Please stop with this phrase.
