The post the op links to asks why women file divorce if they hit the wall. That Chateau article shows the older a woman is, the less likely to file for divorce She is. That is evidence of the wall, not evidence against it.

Also the wall doesn't mean the power structure totally flip. It just means that men's power increases and women's declines. Women still have the upper hand post wall, just not as much.

Also Internet dating has altered the power dynamic, giving far more power to women so talking about post wall women pre and post Internet dating era is not the same thing. Even an ugly 44 year old single mother has an endless line of Betas and omegas trying to blow smoke up her ass online. In real life that rarely happens and it used to be the only options a woman had were real life ones.

The Wall is when a woman loses the allure of her youth, her physical beauty. She is in her prime in her 20s when her skin is naturally young, smooth and wrinkle-free like a baby, and her beauty wanes in her 30s. Many women age gracefully and don't lose their allure until their 40s or 50s, so they have a "soft wall". Other women hit the wall hard and fast.

Yes there are men who like older women and we all have our preferences, but in general most men have a stronger sexual attraction for younger women. The less physically attractive a woman is, the fewer the men who are going to desire her, bottom line. Because men are visually oriented, it doesn't matter how much money she makes, how famous she is, or how well she can cook, no man has a strong desire to fuck a woman who is unattractive.

Not to hate on Incels, but you can't take advice about what men find attractive or what men are willing to settle for from those who aren't even in the dating game.

There's a bit of stuff in that link you gave that's interesting, but I don't think it reflects the reality of which gender can date younger or find commitment easier in older age.

He mentions, for example, the idea that older women are cougars and MILFs. These words (except cougar if you're saying it as an older man) literally mean "I want to pump and dump that old yet fit woman". There's zero commitment expressed in it at all. And more importantly, older men don't have these types of titles. An older, fit man is just described as words like "established" and "sexy". A very old rich man starts to get slammed with sugar daddy more often, and that's when women start bucketing men into the "I just want them around for ___" category just like men do to women by using MILF/cougar. There's no clear cut age when cougar/sugar daddy talk hits a man or a woman, but for a man, it hits him as soon as he's no longer sexy and very clearly old. For women, it hits them when you can guess "she's not in her 20s". Sure, that sometimes happens at 35 for some women, but that's when it strikes.

The thing about divorce is interesting, but I don't see the argument he's making. How does that contradict that women feel pressured to get married around a certain age / look?

A woman's fertility drops with age in a way that men's do not.

That is why the wall exists. Every year a woman has a harder time getting pregnant, she has fewer years of reproductive activity left until infertility and the children she produces are lower quality.

Men do not have that. Our Sperm quality declines, but women's egg quality totally evaporates into nothing.

A used Honda (a 50 year old man's sperm) is superior to a car in a junkyard (a fifty year old woman's eggs). A beaten down but still running car is superior to a car in a junkyard full of rust. That is why men do not hit the wall.

Tl;Dr while both genders see a decline in their sex cell quality with age, women become 100% infertile with age and men do not. Hence The wall.
