Ingesting and keeping down the red pill, for most guys, involves a phase of anger. Anger at "stuff I was taught that wasn't true" or, also commonly, anger at women for not being what the guy thought they were, or was taught they were, or would prefer they were. All of that is understandable in the short term -- after all, ingesting TRP is very much like a loss of innocence event. Previous pretty lies are destroyed, and the world -- while more real -- can also seem less nice, less appealing, and more disappointing. Again, those feelings and that reaction are normal to this kind of world-view-shaking event.

Of course, TRP is not just about exploding the pretty lies. It's also about moving to a place of acceptance of reality as it is (and not how we would prefer it), and coming to terms with that reality in the masculine vein of confronting it and mastering it. This is the self-improvement aspect of TRP, which is its main point, once the pretty lies are moved past. However, it's very hard to do this kind of work when the new reality isn't accepted in a neutral way -- that is, when it's a reality that is resented, or when the guy wishes things were different than how they were. Those kinds of residual attitudes can hold you back when you are in the self-improvement phase, because in order to do the self-improvement successfully the world needs to be accepted as it is, in at least a neutral and detached manner (if not a celebratory one, as some guys eventually reach as well when they find they have mastered the current reality).

A key element of this is lingering resentment towards women. This, of course, is a kind of kiss of death when it comes to TRP self-improvement, because lingering resentment can lead to bitterness, which, again, holds you back from your self-improvement goals. Women pick up on both easily enough as well, so even if you are doing the rest of the program, you'll find that lingering resentment really holds you back from the kind of success you could be having, and the kind of "ROI" you could be getting on all the self-improvement effort you're expending once you are well into the improvement phase of your red pill awakening.

I think one way to move past this is to engage in a thought experiment.

It may not be easy at first, and may take some time to do properly, but I think it is worth doing in order to help diffuse some of the anger and bitterness towards women which can hold you back. The thought experiment is simple enough, which is part of its appeal, even though actualizing it will take some effort. The experiment is this: put yourself in the shoes of an attractive woman of 23 in our culture. Let's say she's an HB6-7. In the sweet spot where there are quite a few women, attractive, but not gorgeous like the 8+, but attractive. Now, when I say "put yourself in the shoes of", here is the hard part. The key isn't being there as a guy, and thinking "what would I do if I were in that situation", but rather "what would I do if I were in that situation with the wiring, attraction/arousal triggers, and socialization of a young woman, rather than those of a man?". Now of course, none of us have ever been women, in fact, and so it is hard to do this at first. That is a part of the challenge, but TRP does understand a lot about how female sexual psychology in fact works, and so the exercise is taking this knowledge, this understanding that you have from the red pill theories, and applying it in the sense of trying to put yourself in the same place, with the same options, and the same wiring/socialization. In trying to apply this thought experiment, a few pointers may be useful.

To review: if you are an HB6-7 of 23 in today's culture, the following all apply to you:

  • You are considered attractive by most men you come across in the world. Men of all ages -- from teens to men the age of your grandfather -- are always looking at you. Often men approach or talk with you, make passes at you, or flirt with you. This has been happening since you were 15, so the attention has become second nature to you. You expect it, are accustomed to it, and see nothing of it. The same attention happens on your social media accounts, and is nearly constant. It's almost like a thrumming of life at this point it is so normal for you.

  • Despite all of this attention, you find yourself attracted to only a small number of men. It's always been this way, and you're also used to it, and think nothing of it. It is perfectly normal for you, and expected for you, that you find most men in any setting are more or less a part of the scenery, or background. This is what is "normal" for how you experience life. The attention from these scenery men is sometimes annoying and sometimes gratifying/validating, but you don't worry about it much -- it's been there since you were 15 so you are used to it.

  • You're not interested in settling down for a number of years -- you're just a year out of college, in an exciting big city, living on your own, and really want to explore your options and enjoy life for a few years before thinking about anything more serious. Although most of the men are still "scenery", you do notice that there are more attractive men, just by the numbers, than there were in college, and this is exciting. You're looking forward to having some fun, hopefully with some of these men.

  • You have been sexually active since you were 15, but pretty much on par with the rest of your girlfriends. Your number is around 12-15, depending on what you count as "sex", and you've had 5 longer boyfriends in the mix, a few one night stands, a few FWBs along the way. You don't see yourself as a slut, but you're not a prude, and if you find a guy really hot, you'll sleep with him the first time you meet him without any pangs of guilt.

  • You've been culturally told, in schools and media of all kinds, that your personal freedom is paramount, and that you should pursue your dreams without compromise, and people have been telling you that you're just terrific pretty much non-stop since you were 15.

If you are this woman, and wired for hypergamy, having access to subsidized birth control and (if needed) abortion, and in this life stage (young, independent, looking for fun and not too serious yet), and in the HB 6.5-7 range, what are you going to do?

Again, this isn't what a guy would do if he were in that position, but what would you do given a woman's preferences, wiring and options, given these facts? The more you think about that, the more you understand, in my opinion, just why women are behaving as they are, and the more you can empathize with it. This is the case because given the same preferences, wiring and options, most would behave the same way (not surprising, because this is how we see most women behaving). It isn't "bitchy" or "bad" -- it's just where they are in life, how they are wired up, what their options are, and what the constraints (or not) currently are.

Of course, there are some women who are not like that. You can change the facts around and make the woman prudish, or have her be an Amish or something like that so more restrained in terms of action and options, or you can have her be an HB2, which also lowers optionality and creates a different life experience. And all of that is fine. But the for the girl who is like the one described -- who is generally the kind of girl guys are finding attractive -- it's very easy to understand why they behave like they do. It's just the expected response given the intersection of their own inherent nature with the external factors in the environment, and that's why we see most women behaving this way.

In other words, it isn't really their "fault". It is a combination of innate wiring/preferences, cultural programming, current economic and social mores -- all of it. It all fits together to create a set of life options for women in this category, and the options skew in a very specific direction because of all of these things taken together. That there are some outlier women who don't behave that way (NAWALT) isn't material, because almost all women will behave this way and for the same reason: it "makes sense", given their innate wiring and preferences, and the opportunities that exist in the current environment.

Thinking ill of women for simply reacting in a very predictable way, and one which is mostly based on innate wiring, to certain features in the cultural and life environment at this age is really misunderstanding reality and how it works. Women are simply acting how they are wired to act, when that wiring meets the current circumstances (cultural/moral/technlological/economic, etc.), and if you had been born one, and were as attractive as this one, with that wiring/preferences and those options in this context, you'd almost certainly be behaving the same way for the same reasons. Understanding this should help you move past the resentment phase to a phase of greater understanding or at least neutrality on the issue, and get over the hump that may be holding back your RP self-improvement efforts. It may not be easy to do at first, but with some effort, and some repetition, I do think most guys who are RP and accept the red pill reality can come to a more accepting perspective on women and their behavior, and understand it in a more neutral way rather than resenting it and allowing that to distract them from exploiting the current circumstances the the best of their ability.
